Dimensions: 48”x38”
Echoes of the Forest is a striking black-and-white mixed media piece that blurs the boundary between nature and art. Incorporating real branches collected from the forest, the composition captures the raw beauty and quiet complexity of the natural world. Set against a monochromatic background, each branch becomes a gesture—a line drawn by nature itself. The inspiration for this piece came during my time living in Bedford, New York, surrounded by dense, quiet woods.
Minimalist yet deeply textured, the piece speaks to themes of memory, decay, and resilience. The absence of color enhances the focus on form and shadow, allowing the viewer to feel the presence of the forest even in its stillness. Echoes of the Forest invites reflection on our connection to the wild, and how fragments of it continue to live within us.
